About the Secondary English Teacher Position
Teach 3-4 core Language Arts courses from grades 6-12. Approximately 60% of the students speak languages other than English in their homes. Class sizes vary from 12-17 students. The Grades 9-10 curriculum follows the IGCSE First Language – English and Literature courses, and all students take those exams in May of their 10th-grade year.
Grades 11 and 12 are often combined based on class size, with an American-based curriculum that helps advanced students prepare for the AP Language and Literature exams.

About Central Asia Academy
Central Asia Academy provides the children of expatriate workers in Central Asia with an English medium education that addresses the uniqueness and potential of each child, and encourages the spiritual, intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth of our students. We seek to instill in our students an ethical worldview that will equip them for effective service to society.
Approximately 60% of the students speak a language other than English at home. These students are served by has 32 teachers, 10 teaching assistants, and 19 support staff, representing 16 countries.
Parents cooperate closely with the staff to develop and deliver our programs in a way that celebrates cultural diversity and promotes unity in our core values and goals. Academic life is punctuated by weekly assemblies and frequent celebrations and student-initiated special events.
