About Grace International School
Grace International School is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Founded in 1999, GIS “exists primarily to enable international Christian workers to remain in their field of service by providing for the needs of their children through an integrated education from a Christian worldview.” More than 350 families from 90 missions and sending agencies send their children to the school. The students (K-12) are from 26 countries. The student-teacher ratio is 17:1.
The Grace International School curriculum is American-based and Biblically-integrated. Since 2005, GIS has been accredited by ACSI and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The school prides itself on its strong school community and its services for special needs students and home schoolers. It is currently housed in a former sports club, but the school is raising money and searching for new facilities: it has both outgrown its space and the surrounding neighborhood is pushing via legal action to take over the facilities.
