About Ob Anggen
Ob Anggen (Tribal language for "Good Fruit") has 3 small village schools struggling to provide an international standard of Christian education in the highlands of Papua, Indonesia. Our remote locations, a mile high on the equator, makes life an adventure as we seek to bring the best quality education to the children of illiterate barefoot farmers just one step out of the stone age.
Our goal is not only to educate, but to disciple and equip children to transform and empower their families and communities. Our 60 staff from more than 10 languages are deeply committed to life in an intentional community of grace and growth.
Some say this vision is impossible and we are crazy to even try. We believe that most visions from God are called impossible and that those who are foolish enough to try are called crazy. So, if you are crazy enough to try the impossible, you will fit well in Ob Anggen. Other Benefits the School Offers: We can work with individuals based on their needs and support level. The goal is that expats raise their own support but we can help in the process.
